Hi,

the indicator chain on my Sturmey-Archer AW hub is broken, so I'd like to replace it. Can I just unthread it from the hub and thread the new one in? If not, will I have to dismantle the entire hub to get at this chain? Thanks. :)

Yes, it just unscrews in a counter clock wise direction. Then screw the new one back in. Roger

When you screw in the new one, back it out 1/2 turn so the rod can float while the wheel is rotating.
