Okay, Is there a way to insure a bicycle? Would it be part of homeowners/renter's insurance?
Anyone have any info on this?

Just find out if it needs to be itemized or not. Mine is included with AAA, but others you need to itemize it. Well worth having as the cost is minimal.

i don't know.... i've seen a couple of threads on the forums asking about insurance before... maybe try a search and see what they all came up with?

You can add it to renter insurance, but usually has to be itemized on renters policies.

Bicycles are covered under personal property coverage on your renters or homeowners insurance. As Caligurl stated, they are covered for the same risks as all your other personal property. Your policy should state what losses are covered and which are excluded. The loss is subject to your deductible. They are not covered for wear & tear or breakage, crashing etc.

Read the fine print, some policies may exclude certain categories of sports equipment.
