To celebrate turning 62 in September, I rode from home, Beloit, Wisconsin, to New Glarus. Could have had better weather for riding. It was cold, windy (head winds), and damp and just got colder as I got closer to New Glarus. My day over in New Glarus was wonderful, clear blue skies, perfect fall weather. The ride home on day three was cold and windy (head winds). Here's a link to some photos from the trip.

I love riding around the New Glarus area. I try to do the trail there (or at least part of it) at least once a year. The countryside is so beautiful. This year we (my wife, 12 year old son, and I) managed to do the whole trail and back (46 miles) spending a few hours in New Glarus. Needless to say I was impressed, mainly because he was setting the pace for almost the entire ride.

I have fond memories of New Glarus. A buddy and I rode from Milwaukee to there, stayed overnight, then back the next day. T'was a great ride.

No, I spent the night in New Glarus. Was back at Earth Rider yesterday talking to Sharon about doing some photography of the hotel rooms for her web site.
