Mountain Biking - Adidas hammer shoes

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I was wondering if anybody has used the Adidas Hammer shoe. I was thinking about getting some, but I'm a little worried about the lacing system. Apparently, it doesn't need to be tied, which is good. I've never thought laces were a good idea on a cycling shoe. Does it hold your foot securely? Is it comfortable?

I have used a few mtb shoes with similar lacing systems and they work well. I have also had a few Adidas mtb shoes and they were very durable. I would think you would not have a problem with them.

Do the laces just get tied? Or are they tensioned by a ratcheting wheel like on some snowboard boots? Or are they something else entirely? I can't find a good picture of the laces.
