Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

i'm a new rider interested in getting into everyday biking because parking is scarce and weaving through traffic rocks. I have never owned a fixedgear but my roommate has an old Nishiki that i love riding and has prompted me to get my own. Problem is, i have no clue of what brand of bike i should get. i know i need frame that is 56 c-c but what does someone recommend for everyday city riding. Nothing too serious but a bike that's fun to ride. Oh, and i'm in college so i'm kind of broke. But im looking to spend upto 350 maybe even 4. any suggestions would be a great help. thanks.

Welcome to the forum! There is a fixed gear forum, http://www.bikeforums.net/forumdisplay.php?f=178 for your question, I ride with gears so I haven't a clue for fixies. If you are interested, you can find more local riders here:
