First Pictures of our New Tandem

After a long, hard battle, we finally have a tandem to replace our 25 year old model. We bought a Norco frame and had a hot rod shop re-do the frame with a custom paint job and our LBS re-assemble with our choice of components.

Currently it is set up for daytripping around town, complete with a lockable box on the pannier rack.

The name of the bike is Venticinque (it's silver and it was our 25th wedding anniversary) but the logo hasn't been added yet

Note: Unless you intentionally want your stoker's pedals to be leading yours, you might want to loosen the eccentric and reposition your timing chain so that the pedal ranks are parallel with each other. As it is right now, your stoker's pedals are "leading" yours by about four links. Some stokers prefer to have a lot of pedal feedback and resistance, which is what they'll experience if their pedals are leading... and, conversely, the captain will enjoy a slighly easier time pushing the cranks around when the stoker is leading. You might also want to make sure the timing chain has about 1/2" of slack when sitting at rest. Right now, at least in the photos, it looks like it could be pretty tight on both the top and bottom run.

Thanks for the advice. Although we've owned a tandem for 25 years, this is new and I'm really a newbie when it comes to tandems
