Tomorrow I'm venturing out to the Kettle Moraine trails near Milwaukee. This will be my maiden voyage on singletrack, so I hope to avoid dirt-munching. :D
Since speed is not a big issue for me, singletrack riding promises to be a blast as well as a fat-blaster (I'm 6'3" and 230 lbs.) How many other Clydes ride singletrack? How do you like it?

I'm a roadie, myself. My thing is riding a really long distance in a day! I enjoy the expressions on relatives faces when I show up on my bike at their house 150 miles away after they talked to me on the phone that morning at home!http://www.smilieland.com/graphics/0005.gif

Are they open? It's been raining a lot lately. Better call them and check.
I've been to John Muir 2 times this year and it's a great place!

I'm just getting back into riding after a 10 year hiatus. I'm 6' tall, 250 lbs. My brother and I recently got back from a trip to bike on Mammoth Mountain which was a blast, even though I crashed pretty good and scuffed myself up a bit... It was so much fun that it has motivated me to get in better shape for next years trip. I'm just using my old Diamondback to do some light singletrack and fire road riding in the local mountains. Mammoth is awesome! But remember the pads & helmet!

I get out and ride about twice a week on the dirt and absolutley love it!:D I'm 6'4" and 240lbs or so and ride a FS Epic or my new Full Rigid SS 29er. And I constantly leave my offering of my blood to the mountain biking gods!!:D Let us know how your ride went and get a couple pix.

I ride mostly on the road but love to ride singletrack when I can. There is nothing like an epic off-road ride. Once, 4 of us spent 8 hours on the trail with one water stop at the highway.

I love single track, my second time out I did a face auger. Coming sown a big hill with sand at the bottom. Hurt like hell but the looks from the people at the parking lot when I came riding back out covered in dirt with that look of "yeah, I just got my ass kicked) was great. Ever since then I've been hooked, and not afraid to fall anymore.

I have a Stumpjumper that I get to ride on single track a few timesa year. At 6'6' and 235 I find that single track gives me aches where I didn't even know I had muscles.

singletrack is where its at. Thats all I ride unless I'm just trying to get out and get some exercise and can't make it out to the trail

I love singletrack. I also ride the road, but don't enjoy it nearly as much.
I try to ride at least twice a week off-road. Usually once during the week on some neighborhood easy trails and then drive 45 mins. away on the weekends.
I have a Specialized Enduro SX Trail as my primary bike, but I also ride a single speed. Just this past Sunday I revived an old Scott Boulder that was given to me in the spring.
I'd much rather be off road 4 to 1 over on road!
