Bicycle Mechanics - How to book on road bike maintenance?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I'd like to be able to perform more of my own bike maintenance. Any books to recommend on the subject?
Thanks

It's cheap, aimed at beginners, well-illustrated, includes descriptive sections that get you understanding how different parts work together, and yet quite thorough!! That book literally changed my life. My copy has greasy thumbprints on the cover and all the pages :)
Check out this link too. These books are all downloadable.
