I have a confession to make. I recently sold my only 2 vintage bikes that I had to buy a newer bike. (Orbea) Partly because I needed it to do a lot of the group rides that really require a newer bike. Problem is now, I'm missing that vintage steel. This past weekend a guy rode by me on a beautiful Zeus bike. All parts were original looked almost like Campy, 531 Reynolds SL tubing. Anyways, I want one either whole or just a frame (60cm.) If anyone has a line on one, let me know.

If you wanted to have your legs surgically shortened, I could sell you a nice '71 Zeus Professional... ;)

Just curious, What characteristic of the "group ride" required a newer bike?

For one I needed a bike that fitted me well enough not to have 1) knee pain, 2) back pain, etc. The needs of the group ride; something I could ride for over 50 miles comfortably, climb hills with, weighed less, so I didn't have to worry about 1 & 2. The bike I have now climbs like a rocket and flat out flies but I can't bring that to a vintage ride. :D
