This is probably a kinda dumb question but here goes anyway....

Is there an optimum amount of rake for a fork?

If so how and where do you measure it (with home type tools)?

What is the difference in handling if the distance is more or less?

There are no dumb questions, only dumb answers. Rake makes a huge difference. Here are a couple links:
