I suppose this question could have been posted in a number of different places, but since it's for a 'cross build, I'll throw it in here. A have a pair of drop bars that I want to use (mainly because I already have them, and they are therefore free!), but they are an odd size. The clamp diameter is 25.4mm, which is fine since I have an MTB stem. However, the grip diameter (i.e., the rest of the bar) is 22.2mm. As I understand, this is smaller than a standard road bar. No? Originally, it had the old "non-aero" brakes, complete with suicide levers. The question is, will the much more comfortable, vastly superior, aero brake levers fit a bar of this diameter?
