So is it reasonable to put a recumbent in one of those fluid or magnetic trainer thingies? Anybody try it?

I've had all of the bents (V-Rex, Team, Baron, Fujin, Aero) I've owned in my Fluid^2 trainer. Works fine, of course, they all had 26" or 650C wheels. $06 or 451 wheels might be a problem.

We've mounted my wife's bent on a trainer. No problems at all. We did mount my daughter's 24" on the trainer when she had it, don't know if you could go 20" or not.

I use a fluid trainer in my training room (http://dse-trikes.blogspot.com/2006/04/training-room.html) with recumbent trikes as well as handcycle. Kurt Kinetic has a small wheel adapter (http://www.kurtkinetic.com/product_info.php/cPath/8/products_id/51) for their fluid trainers to accomodate 16"-22" wheels.

Holy *****. That stuff's just freakin awsome. I now have a new dream project. (With 4 kids, my basement is dedicated to their entertainment (theater area, pool table / ping pong, piano, etc). My workshop / office is crammed already. I don't think I can wait 10 years for the last one to leave the nest. Hmmm.)
