It is my favorite time of the year. When else could a person get a shiny black bike turn brown?

Ahhh.. yes... I've had my fair share of mud in the last couple of months. Seems like it's utterly impossible to avoid these days! Cleaning my bike seems hopeless :o

I got pretty slimy today too. Going again tomorrow. I hate mud, mostly because of the extra maintenance when I get home, but I love the weather when it's muddy. Spring is finally here!

Im probably going to go on a road ride a little later today. Would go mountain biking, but skyline is closed cause it rained yesterday, and I dont feel like going all the way out to Angwin or Annadale.

Yeah.... I think I'm gonna cruise the streets myself. Don't feel like riding down to the trails and getting all muddy and sweaty..... cruising around seems like a good idea to me :)

We hit some urban assault stuff on campus on Thurs + Friday..... so I've had my share of riding this week anyhow :o

You poor, poor people. :p

Or mud season lasted a total of 1 1/2 weeks. That includes all the rains we have recieved this last year. Which is a good thing because the mud around here likes to stick to your wheels making it impossible to ride in with the exception of a few hidden but public trails.

Ha I have two black bikes and currently one of them is brown from all of the melting snow we had.

I love spring.

Hmmm...what if we like the mud...and rain...slippery wet roots are my favorite...oh and I am being serious it makes the ride living hell but very difficult which is what I want :D...

I love riding in the mud. Just not around here. There is one trail that my wife and I always ride when it rains. It runs along side a stream that gets up to about 4' deep at some of the crossings. It is a blast because you get mud all over then at the last crossing we just jump off the bolders into the stream and the mud is gone. Then when we get home we have some hot cider and some good grub.

Easy cleaning is the best kind. Thats the only thing I don't like about the mud...:)

The main chance I get to ride in the mud is during races. Our local trails are closed until they dry out. I think there might be one trail that they let you ride regardless of condition.
