SO,... I've got my hands on a "rare" Puch BMX. Original decals were SILVER SABRE. I think it's rare coz nobody bought them!!! But I can tell you it's agreat bike.
Very much a Mongoose '78 Style Frame, it originally had CMC Rims but I swapped these over for some old skool mags. Most of the other parts are original.
For those PUCH experts out there, can you give me the lowdown on this bike as the current Puch company cannot help!!!

Regards, QBT

Hey dickhead, that's what we'll be saying about your bike 20-30 years from now. :D

Either way, that bike only has some value to a demented collector. Rare does not always equate to good or valuable. Yugos are rare.

its not that fact that its vintage/old school

its the fact every single thing on it looks disproportionate (sp?)

Chrome and nickel were big back then. So were colored rims and colored tires. Same with grips and cables. It's missing the checkered nylon pads with velcro closures though.

Ahhh well Mude, each to their own!!!
If I wanted something 'normal' I'd head to Walmart...!
And as the Deadpan says..... bring on some checked nylon pads and it's BMX Bandits all over again!

You may want to invest in some chain tensioners for that

They're quite visible on there already. He may need to remove a link from the chain though.

I know Thruster made the Puch Trac Pro back in the late 70s, early 80s. It came with thruster forks and bars as well, I believe. That is not a Trac Pro.

Expat is a very bad boy. Shame on you Expat- you are a hypocrite... yell at us for saying "bad words" and then say one yourself... tisk tisk

I used to think it was a bad word. The I moved to Australia, and there's grandma, watchin' the footy, and calling a guy a dickhead for dropping the ball. It can't be a bad word if my children's nana uses it.

I don't have grandparents soo technically they don't say anything good or bad... so that means I can use any word I want to.
