I'm assuming it's okay to post this in this forum; I wasn't sure where it would go. I've been looking for a 70's Nishiki International recently [I need a trusty commuter badly!], but haven't been able to find any. Toledo, OH is not the best place to pick up a classic bike, and I don't have the gas/time to spend on driving around searching for one out of the city, unless I know I'm coming home with a bike :) .
Anyways, if anyone has any info on one of these bikes for sale within 50-60 miles of Toledo, be sure to let me know! I've been CRAVING for one of those for a long time now. THANKS!

[any tips or ideas on places to go to find bikes like this in my area would help as well -- been searching ebay and craigs for a while to no avail]

Try the classic and vintage forums. Theres a guy who started a nishiki web page there. Keep trying thrift shops and yard sales also check local communities for police auctions. The thing is on that given day you go to the thrift you never know what you will find. Just recently I went for a ride to a thrift store and found a 77 international, road ready to add to my 81 I have in pieces. Just be persistent they will show up. Ther are many other japanese road bikes on craigslist always available in your area keep looking a little luck always help.

I recently went into a Goodwill that has NEVER had a bike since its opened, and my friend jokingly said "oh look-a bike-you should probably buy it." It was a 1980's International with NICE components. Point--just keep looking, they are out there.
