The xtc 2 is a very nice bike, but for $100-$150 more you can get an Klein Attitude, which you must agree is much cooler, lighter, and stronger. They have almost the same components, I'd go with a Klein for the snob factor, unless your getting a deal with the xtc and the prices aren't comparable.

For urban assult. Depending on the degree NO...it is a xc bike...and while it may survive doesnt have the geometry to really optimize urban. It may take it bur really you should get a more urbanized bike for a lot of fun. (slack geometry frame) :beer:

WNC what exactly are you looking to do with the next bike you're looking to buy? It seems like you're looking at XC bikes even though you'd like to do drops and urban more?

WNC if you're looking to have a bike that will take hits, but will work for XC, look into a Rocky Mountain Slayer, Giant VT1 or 2, Specialized FSR, Santa Cruz Heckler, or a Santa Cruz Chameleon.

Its still a xc bike and not built to take the hits. It will do fine for a time but really...its xc.

I'm not sure on the Stiffee price, but I just got a quote for the Hummer frame...came out to only 500 USD. That is pretty much giving it away, considering it is Ti, lifetime warranty, and Cove's quality. Even Zion titanium frames, which are essentially re-stickered Litespeed's with ZERO name recognition are going for 1000.
The Stiffee should be much less. Keep in mind that prices listed on their site are Canadian.

Lifetime warranty, it's not a "cookie cutter" bike, you can get custom paint if you want it...etc etc.

21" sounds right - the next step down is 19", and at 6'4" that's gonna be small. It really depends on your reach and inseam to a point though.

It also depends on what you want. I am 6'5 and ride a 19"...perfect fit imo. Raise the seat for xc and lower it for urban / freeride. I wouldn't want to 'play' on a big bike. I even take my gfs out and its only 17". I think it is more dependant on what you do and how confortable you feel sitting on it.
