thinking about possible crosscheck build possibilities...can you mix road and mountain components together? for example: 9 speed xt trigger shifters with a 9spd road derailleur?
or a road crankset with mountain derailleaurs?
now i am just confusing myself?
am i just talking nonsense? what is feasible? basically i want to build a crosscheck with riser bars and trigger shifters

YEh mate. you can mix roadie and mtb parts. just look at flatbar roadbikes and even some DHr's use roadie derailleurs bcoz their small n cant be smashed as easily. In short, yes you can mix parts.
