Nope no gardening. Just found them laying around. I use them to keep my hands warm.

I don't like to ride with bare hands. Too cold.
I had two gloves but lost one lol. I just wear a right oakley wristband.
A pair of gloves saved me from nasty road rash once or twice...I usually ride without gloves though

I use these for my MTB

I normally don't wear gloves for the roadie, I don't dig the glove tan. Knock on wood, I havn't crashed on my roadie. If it's colder then normal I'll just use the MTB gloves on the roadie, but takes a while to get used to.
Gloves are good for two reason, sweat and crashes. You can't help sweating, but some people have sweaty hands problem (remember that commercial:D ) so needs gloves all the time, some don't. My arms sweat not my hands.

One more thing gloves are good for, and why I usually wear them on my road-bike, is that if you ride through a bunch of glass or other crap you can reach down with a gloved hand and cup the tire in your palm for a couple rotations of the wheel. The rationale is that if you do it quickly enough this will dislodge any little bits of glass or what-not before they can dig in and give you a flat. I don't know if it actually works, or just makes me feel better, but I've not had a flat in a few thousand miles and the roads around here are pretty dirty. (Having said that I'll probably get a flat on my next ride.)
The front wheel is pretty easy. The rear is a little trickier, but I haven't lost any fingers yet.
My hands must not tan much 'cause I don't have a glove tan. Though I did when I wore gloves that had th e little hole on the back. I just don't buy those kind any more.

max your gloves are driving gloves. wear them when driving your vintage convertible jaguar.
i usually don't wear gloves unless it's cold. i've got a couple of pairs of fox incline gloves that are full fingered. they're warm enough when it starts to get cold and they have thin palms. i hate the ones with thick palms.

I do have to say, Nickelbus does have sexy hands, but he's also known to rock "magic" gloves when the temerature dips... 99 cent acrylic at Big Lots.
I rock the Nike gloves like Gretzky. They're pretty comfy, but I'm not too keen on the rubber palms. Nevertheless, they feel like comfy sweats on your hands and they're bad ass!
