Anybody know where I could find tyres in a colour other than black? I'm looking for something for my beater bike, the funkier the better.

All I can find around here are 27in tyres with an amber sidewall, or 700x23C (or narrower) in a solid colour. I'm looking for tyres sized 700x32C if possible.

Paint them yourself. I did. I used some orange Krylon type spray paint. It faded badly in a few months under the effects of salt, sand, and weather but could still been seen years later. If your bald tires are slipping you can even get abrasive spray paint, normally used industrially to coat metal ladder rungs and places where people might slip. Months ago there was a paint expert who started a thread for people who needed paint advice. Try to find it.

They'll get dirty fast unless you wash 'em weekly. I wouldn't bother.

Yeh... sorry about the pic - it is pretty hard to find a picture of coloured tyres. Yes, I know he has no pants. Rather disturbing.

About painting them - would painted tyres affect traction? I have thoughts of taking a fast corner and sliding across the road...

Many high end bikes come with tires matching the color scheme.

You ride on your sidewalls all the time? Well, for one thing, it appears to me that the OP wants the whole tire to be coloured (that also seems to follow from his follow from his post #14 about traction). Secondly, sidewalls do get dirty as well. One of the tires on my bf's bike has an amber sidewall - and you could never tell unless you looked very closely! The OP is talking beaters here so he is unlikely to spend much time cleaning the bike - not as much anyway as you would spend to clean your multithousand-dollar racing treasure.

Sorry, don't got a multithousand dollar racing treasure. OP is asking for coloured tires, that's what I gave him :)

During a local MS150 charity ride I rode along-side a fellow from time to time that had some pretty zany tires. He had a freeride hardtail MTB with 26" HALO Twin Rail tires which were entirely day-glo pink. What impressed me most about these tires, despite the fact we rode dozens of miles in the rain and muck, is that they retained their eye burning color.
