Well, I was out on the trails when this was posted, so I figure I was having a better time riding my bike than watching someone else ride their's from my couch "potatoe", huh?

I've never been much of a fan. Fan is short for "fanatic" = an enthusiastic devotee, follower, or admirer of a sport, pastime, celebrity, etc.

A quadriplegic can be a "Fan"...

Hopefully they'll give Jill & Michael extended warranties on those
new Jeep's they won today. Too bad it wasn't Nissan sponsored, huh?

that womens final was a good example of what Ive been saying about clipless pedals. when she hit wrong somewhere between "oh" and "$**t" her left foot came unclipped and between her hitting the ground and the second roll where she was hit in the back with another bike , her right foot came unclipped.
the camera angles( like last year) looked more setup for skiing. non mt bikers are probably saying "whats the big deal?" because the camera angles suck and everything looks very simple and smooth.

all I get is Dallas vs. Philly, I don't mind too much seeing as I like football. But i would have liked to see KOM, I saw it last summer and loved it, albight it's kind of short and kind of made for TV, but it's still cool, to be able to see those people you read about in action, especially for someone from Missouri where there is pretty much no major race action.

Then I suppose I too would be a "FAN" sitting on my couch, watching TV...

I don't "hate" anything nor anyone.
I simply look at things from "outside" the box...

woop cowboys roc.

if a team has T.O. i automatically hope they lose. Nothing against the Cowboys but, but nothing makes me happier than to know a team with T.O. is losing cause then his ego can't be fed anymore with ideas that he is the reason a team is winning.

Too bad it wasn't universally across CBS. I haven't seen it all myself yet - - thank goodness for Tivo :) As it was, Sunday was going to be a 'crawl-under-the-truck-to-change-the-fuel-tank' day instead of a riding day anyway; stumbled across it when I was channel-surfing during breakfast.

Too bad they didn't have a better camera angle on that 40-footer, to give the casual observer a better idea of how huge a 40' gap is.

I wonder what it is about pro women riders and jumping. Many seem not to clear the jumps opting to roll them instead. Why? Im sure they are strong enough to propel themselves over them like the men do.

I think it's a confidence/aggressiveness thing. I think many more have the physical ability to do it if they can overcome the 'head' part of it. Anne-Caro is one of the few I've seen do it with ease. There's a sequence from one of the vids (NWD? Kranked?) that showed her at Whistler's jumps (not on the mountain - the ones down between the parking lots and the river) and she was amazing. Those jumps on the far left side are HUGE and she was clearing them all. I guess it helps push your envelope when you train with Cedric.

Maybe with the perspective of a couple years, they won't look as big now. But then I'm not the greatest jumper still . . . the two far left lines sure looked big enough to me at the time.

I'm so jealous - - just talked to my son tonight and he went there for closing day Sunday. Had a blast. Sounds like Garbanzo was pretty slick 'n' snotty but a good time anyway. Dang!
