Rides and Races - Sadie Hawkins Weekend, Chicago, Nov 10-12

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

one week to go, and the craigslist phonelines are lighting up for a date!
oh man, i am so one of those guys...
any women still looking for a partner? i am provide some leinenkugel's (i am from WI) and fun (wow that sounds cheesy).
Don't forget about the afterparty!
The official sadie hawkins afterparty will go down at a pretty fly loftspace in Lakeview immediately after the race at 8:30 PM. The space is at 3036 N. Lincoln Ave (4th floor) - it's just south of Belmont on Lincoln (right by the Army/Navy Surplus store). If you were at the Bike Film Festival Afterparty, you'll remember this space. It's sick! Also, there will be DJs! $1 beers! booty-dropping beats! Registered racers get free entry, free pizza (from Pie-Eyed), and a couple free beers each until the donated stuff runs out. Non-racers will be asked for a $5-$8 donation at the door.
Here's a map (http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&q=3036+N.+Lincoln+Ave+chicago+il&ie=UTF8&z=15&om=1&iwloc=addr)

Will people be going directly from the race to the party looking and smelling funny or should I worry about making myself prettier?

thanks to everyone who came out and raced! we're still counting and figuring everything out, but it looks as if we raised more than $1200 for the chicago women's health center!
Special thanks to sponsors:
Under the Weather (can someone post a pic of those awesome bags?)
Zugster Bags
Chester Cycles
Chrome
Yojimbo's Garage
Wig
Early 2 Bed
Pabst
Pie Eyed Pizza
Huck Finn Donuts
Black Hole Press
Bendependent.com
Rapid Transit Cycles
Please remember that racing wouldn't be what it is without the support of our sponsors... please pick them first when you're shopping for bags, paint, shirts, art, sex toys, etc!
Thanks also to the checkpoint workers, the DJ's, and especially to Kisha, who definetely was the moving force behind all of this stuff!
The first place riders...
Overall, Team Suck My Dick, Val and Brean
Out of Town, Team Meatspin, Lyle and Kelly of Madison
Tandem, Team Love, Sam and Sara
We'll post the rest later, though we only really kept track of top three, being the not-so-competitive people we are.
Sadie may be back in 07 with a shorter manifest and (hopefully) warmer weather, we'll see. I really hope all the ladies who came out keep coming out... it was great seeing so many new faces!

I stayed home alone, looking at NJS parts and wondering how they can make me cool
The kissing booth was there! You missed out on the dirty action, son.

']juvi, you need to actually ride the bikes you build. not just take a picture next to them and then lie to people about riding it. If you know this is a completely true statement, please respond with "Sounds good to me..."
Sounds good to me...

Tall, superhandsome cyclist guy -- you popped into the cafe to ask if there was a liquor store nearby. Flashed a sweet smile and split. Not bad for 2pm on a Friday. I'm the guy with black framed glasses in a black sweatshirt who wanted you to look over this-a-way, and maybe you did, but I don't think so. I like how you swung you leg over your bike when you left. Buy you a beer sometime?
this is in or around Augusta & California
