I've been spending some time on the rollers and I've found that my hands start to hurt while on the hoods...around the area between the thumb and index finger.

I'm wearing a pair of decent Specialized cycling gloves....but it's still bothers me

Is there anything I should adjust that would alleviate this problem?

Right now, I have the hoods running parallel to the ground. Pic of the setup:

Should I raise that slightly? Would it alleviate some of the pressure on my hands?

a stem with a bit more rise (your current one upside down, maybe?) might take a bit of pressure off of your hands, but it'll put more on your bum. this might be an exceptable trade off if your bum hasn't bothered you.

WHOA LOL

BMX-style seat angle...

Most definitely.... try just angling up your handlebar a tiny bit, it will help immensely.

Actually, your setup looks perfect. Does your hand bother you when you ride regular roads? How about your neck?

I get the same "hand" pain sometimes when I ride rollers. I just switch positions and flex my fingers, etc....

Might be gloves. To much padding pushing in the wrong spots.

Relax your hands and keep your elbows bent.

Try raising the nose of the saddle *slightly*. If it helps, great! In many cases, that will reduce the amount of weight you put on your hands. If it causes pain in other places... alas, nothing ventured, nothing gained.

I had this problem before I installed aero bars. Now most of the pressure is off my hands and onto my forearms.
