Texas - Offroad Trails around DFW?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Well my bike is on its way, should be here this Friday. Can someone suggest a good beginner off road trail that I could take it out to and try her out this weekend?
Thanks in advance guys.

Check out the A and B loops at Z Boaz and if you don't have any problems there then try Sansom Park.
check out dorba.org they maintain and list most of the trails around dallas.

+1 on dorba.org (Dallas Offroad Bike Assoc). They list trails/addresses with maps of the trails. Good stuff.

one more +1 on http://dorba.org ... the absolute closest trail to downtown is L.B. Houston (http://www.dorba.org/trails/trail_guide/lbhou.html), but it's worth the (relatively) short drive to Cedar Hill (http://www.dorba.org/trails/trail_guide/chsp.html) if open. This page -- http://dorba.org/index_jscript.html is your friend. Unlike other parts of the country, it is very VERY taboo to ride on muddy trails in DFW. Keep that in mind....
Also, www.fwmba.org. They are a young club, but they maintaine zboaz and sansom. If you ae here for only a couple of days, I would recommend sansom over zboaz.
