Had to force myself to ride as I always do for the first one. But once I was out there I was glad I did.

It was about 75 degrees today but very windy, out of the south @ 20 to 30 mph. Didn't care, wasn't going to let that spoil it for me. Only rode 20 miles. Not bad, considering the last time I rode was last Sept.

After I got home I celebrated with my favorite post-ride beverage. An ice cold beer, my favorite is Sioux Bee Honey Ale.

For now I'l only be able to ride on weekends until the days get even longer then they are now. Thats fine with me, I'm just glad to be able to get out there so early in the season. I usually don't start until April.

How about everyone else?

Peace, stay safe & God Bless.

John

I'm fortunate enough to live in Perth, Western Australia. I can ride all year round.

There are a few days each winter when it's just too wild to cycle but they're rare.

We are just into Autumn so the weather is perfect for cycling.

I'm fortunate enough to live in Queensland, where winter cycling is not only possible, but preferred.

We'd better be careful Chris. We'll have everyone moving to Australia before too much longer.:D

Had my first ride of the year yesterday, it was great! Only 20km, but at least I got out.

i did my first metric century road ride of the year this weekend. got sun burned too. I broke a personal best of 18.7mph average over the 65 miles, solo. could have been faster but i got board during the last 20 miles.
two weeks ago i did an extended mtb ride of 44 miles road and 26 miles single track. that one hurt.
anyhoo good luck on the start of a new year of riding.
