I have two LCD PC monitors with two different problems.
#1 18" with classic inverter board failure = power stays on, no picture except for a short 3 second burst when the power is first turned on.
#2 17" NEC 1700m shows clear picture for three seconds then powers off and powers back on, shows picture and powers off and on.....until I unplug it. That is my question, What is it's problem. I read some posts about inverter board problems but they always mention the power staying on full time. I am not a circut tester and cannot find any obvious signs of a fuse issue. Any ideas from the group?
I may just junk it, but if it can be repaired for $50 with a new inverter board its money saved.....
