Foo - The post counter in your profile may be off.

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I continue to subscribe to the theory that ever since sometime earlier this year when we had the great debate about games in Foo, posts in Foo have stopped counting toward one's total post count. (Older posts got grandfathered in, though.) How many of your posts are in Foo?

OH come on JsChen...I thought we'd let him sweat it forever thinking it was a problem. :D

Take Mrs. Stormcrowe's post statistics:

official post count: 7 (in her profile)
total posts: 17 (when viewing all her posts)
posts in Foo: 10 (when searching for posts made by her in Foo)

11,801 and counting... oh god if they ever pull my internet history from work I'm f**ked... that's the beauty of having a butt slow old computer at work. I keep my admin rights and it takes so long to do a task in CAD that I can make 2-3 posts on bikeforums between them.

About 90% of my total posts have been in the Foo forum:).

If you add up some of my post counts from the big threads in foo, it adds up to more than my profile post count total.

I'm not one to complain, but I find it hard to believe there is a good reason for this.

Its pretty common practice. Most forums I have been on have a "fooish" forum...and posts never count.

I understand the concept, but why just Foo, and not the other sub-forums in "The Lounge"?

I'm not griping, mind you, just curious.
