so, how bout that weather.

it blows! the slush is slippery as hell and it stings your face. you have to ride so slow

i ride at a decent speed still, i am still faster than the cars at least.
its all about the goggles and full face protection and tights.

i pushed my bike for about 1mi of my commute home. it was just too icy on frankford ave and i couldnt go anywhere near car speed so i ended up just walking it on the sidewalk.

the morning commute wasnt bad at all besides what hit my face...i was well protected though.

are they just not gonna plow our roads anymore?

and im def not looking forward to another week of riding through the constant pile of stones in the bike lanes through north philly and downtown.

I was ****ing around on a mountian bike earlier. good fun. I was pushing 20/30. ha, needless to say I was spinning.

and even though its not very far at all, maybe a ride up to the yards brewery tour.

how about this.
in dc we had a "laps and cheese" day. we would meet at a spot at noon on sundays, ride laps around the point, go to the club house for the golf course and get grilled cheese, and ride more laps.

easy, fun miles.

up here i say we do a sunday ride to manayunk, get some brunch/breakfast, and ride back.

meet at the art musuem sunday at 10am. ride out on either side of the path. find a place out there for food. ride back in.

this sunday i have to go to my girlfriend's grandmother's birthday party, but who says we make april 1st our first time?

I would say pick somewhere vegan friendly for my sort of peoples since the pretzel ride delicacies are not eatable. But I realized any place with breakfast probably gots some form of fried potato that is a-ok.

Yes and yes. Let's do a Valley Forge ride post haste. Is anyone else a mountain bike nerd with headlights? We could do a night ride if we got crazy. I've got one of those helmet mounted super bright dealies. But in any case, Valley Forge. Soon.

i had the understanding that delicious hot pretzels are vegan.
i like the idea of a brunch ride.

the pretzels have about a drop of whey in them each, making them non vegan. I talked to people who used to work there and got it confirmed.

so next pretzel ride feel free to giggle at the vegans who go.

I always thought the pretzels weren't vegan as well. Now I'm so psyched about that girl lecturing me about how nasty cheese is when all I was trying to do was not waste it.

"Anybody want the rest of me cheese?"
"Ew, thats nasty."
"Anybody need some cheese?"
"Thats so gross."
"Why is that gross."
"(Talks about animal products and what not)"
"Well, you don't have to eat it, I'm just trying not to let things go to waste."

Best part is, she was eating a pretzel.
See, I totally respect vegans, but when they try to tell me I'm nasty for trying to not waste something, they can **** off. Wouldn't you rather I shared my cheese than just threw it out? I know the answer is you would rather that I didn't eat cheese, but I do. So whats better, me eating cheese and throwing out the leftover, or me eating cheese and giving the left over to somebody else who eats cheese? There is no third option.

By the way, Le Bus throws out all sorts of goodies at 6pm. I don't know what is and isn't vegan though. The cans are in the alley between 17 and 18, Sansom and Walnut. Or in my fridge. Either way.
