yeah the bastard was literally aiming right at me, I swung my bike around so he only clipped my back wheel a lil bit so I didn't fall. I guess my wintertime fixie riding where I was fishtailing the whole way to school finally paid off.

but still... it was a frigging cop. By the time I turned around to get a license plate # it was gone.

I've been a cop's hit-and-run victim as well. That's a lot of scene points for us. Even better was when a taxi reached out of his window and punched me while I was riding up stopped lanes...and a cop saw it and busted him.

haha sorry, but that's an amazing mental image. My all time best was when I was riding through my wonderful north philly neighborhood and a crack head tried to clothesline me off my bike. It was like 3 am and pretty much the funniest thing ever.

so news has it that xkevx has busted up two bikes getting hit by two cars in two days.
dunno if he'll be at pretzel ride, but some positive cheer might be in order.

Walking out of the tech center I see some dude taking a crap load of pictures of my bike. Turns out the inquirer is doing an article on safety at Temple... and my bike hanging on a fence is going to be the main picture?

Anyone have a spare pair of Sylvan pedals they'd be willing to part with for a reasonable price? Preferably track, but who am I to be picky? I just found out why my foot's been hurting. Somehow I've managed to bend the lip part of my non-track Sylvans down so the outside of my foot is riding on an uncomfortable hunk of metal. Owie. And I don't feel like paying $30 for brand spanking new ones right now. So yeah. Anyone?

this rules.
Ryan just called me because he saw a suspicious situation where a kid was carrying an alumimum track bike near 8th and dickinson with a pretzel and crossbones sticker. i recognized the bike from the description as Blayer's Langster and called him to see if it had been stolen. it turns out Blayer had just sold it to the kid Ryan saw but how cool is it that we could have recovered the bike that easily.

lessons learned: 1) keep your eyes open and 2) wear your pretzel and crossbones stickers with pride.

see, now I just looked at two sources that said it's definitely a marsupial because they give birth in a pouch... I dunno man, the more I read about it, the more I think of to-may-to / to-mah-to.

A panda bear apparently is also not a bear, but a raccoon relative. Jeez, this **** is a heated-ass issue.
