My 3 things that rarely change are Thinsulate/gortex Gloves, my wool Balaclava, and those little disposable toe warmers. (I can buy them wholesale).

MountainGear GoreTex N2S (next to skin) long sleeve T and tights.
Shorts, t-shirt ;-)
Grampy™ adds crtreedude to the hit list.......
Hands-down, the black skullcap made of that Wunder Cloth stuff. Lordy, it's worth at least two layers of clothes. . .puts paid to that old saw, "If your feet get cold, put on your hat.".
For me it's anything made with Gore's Windstopper. I have a headband, gloves and a jacket made from that stuff and they've never let me down.
Hi,
I really, really like my Core Warmer. Order two sizes larger than normal.

I spent a pretty penny on some Outdoor Research gloves that are light, warm, grippy, and make using my Ultegra shifters easy.
I like Merino sweaters for a base layer.
My favorite winter riding gear is memories of summer. I have to keep reminding myself that the cold bitter wind and gray skies will pass... If you're talking clothing it's the moisture wicking base layer I wear top and bottom. Then I layer based on three things: The temp. The wind. The amount of time I plan on riding.
Sks Race Blade fenders. They come on and off in just a minute, and they are pretty effective too. Also my Burley rain jacket, it works!
I'm about ready to place an order for a pair of Craft brand Rider Rain Jackets. They're supposed to be good for the 20 to 50 degree temperature window. Anybody have any experience with that brand?

Not with that brand, but what you need in cold is to stop the wind and layer underneath.... at least that is what works for me.

Ok, source and cost of wholesale toe warmers - pretty please.

I use plastic sandwich baggies. They make a big difference and the price is certainly right.
Not to be a smart-ass, but nothing at all as I stand in a hot shower after returning. Next would be one of my wool jerseys with a thin, wicking layer beneath. I find this does not betray the warming qualities of wool even when caught in the rain. On less crisp days, the wool alone is good...the itch goes away after a few miles.
REI rain shadow jacket that has pit zip and is waterproof. Performance rain pants that were made with a coolmax mesh inner liner; very comfortable and not clammy. Columbia Bugaboo fleece hat that is waterproof and keeps the ears and face warm. Performance Neoprene gloves that I sealed with silicone on the topsde to waterproof it. Some self made booties that I put together with heavey duty clear plastic, duct tape, and velcro. A Performance long sleeve fleece jersey with 14 inch zip. I stay dry no matter how long or how wet the conditons are in the environment. Never cold and never too hot. That's my winters comfort gear.
I have a pair of Patagonia "streatch weight" undershirts that they don't make anymore. They are about twelve years old and I treat them like gold.
Sealskin waterproof socks, dry and warm, always
Wicking base layer, from Rohan, and English company
Gore Windstopper Hat.

Skiing Gloves. Keep the hands toasty warm.
I will sometimes take along a cheap Columbia snowboard parka with the liner left out. Pit zippers open. Mostly I have used an even cheaper pull-over shell. Long PI winter tights. Wool socks. Leather insulated flagger's gloves from Work-n-More that have the reflective back. I just SnoSeal 'em. Yeah, ok, they look like clown gloves, but they're inexpensive and very warm. For a top I just wear a wicking T and maybe a light wool T over it, sometimes not. It doesn't get that cold here, just wet.
I use a long sleeve Under Armour shirt as a base layer under my normal jersey when it gets really cold like 40F
I switch from short sleeve to long sleeve tee shirts, some with a turtle neck. I also switch from basketball shorts to sweatpants. Okay, to be honest, I'll also wear my favorite jacket, a bright yellow rain jacket with a hood which I"ll sometimes wear under my helmet.
Winters can be brutal here.
Performance fleece helmet liner...the one cycling product that I often wear off the bike.
Under Armor cold gear mock turtleneck and leggings and a polartec fleece vest.
My Grandoe downhill ski gloves. With liners out, they work fine from 32 F down to 0 F, which is about as cold as it gets here. With liners in, I've skiied happily at -30 F.

My favorite winter gear is the kind you can take off and put away until next winter :( I want summer back :(

Grrrrrrrr Rub it in!
Sierra ski mask (wear glasses) with a helmet style stocking cap.
Thermax moisture wicking long underwear.
Sweats.
And it is cold enough today to wear the stuff.
While it's for walking/hiking, not biking, I have a Columbia Artic down coat that is so warm that I can't wear it when it is above 20.
It is absolutely wonderful on those chilly sub-zero mornings.
there's no winter here, to speak of: a long sleeve knit shirt, Polartec vest. Only had to wear my long tights once last year and even then they got hot towards end of ride. My wife gave me an earband but it doesn't feel right under my helmet so I rarely use it.
But where o where can I find a pair of decent XXL gloves? Have order 2 different pair and the palms were so small I couldn't even open my hand.
Nordica Dobermann Pro RC's
One or two clicks lower than summer. :D Glove liner, gloves, and mitten covers for the hands. Two layers of socks, very loose shoes, and velcro sealed waterproof booties over that.
Can you say "Poor circulation in the hands and feet?" I knew you could.
When the temp is sub-zero I wear a "BUFFALO" top. It consists of a nylon-type fleece with a Pertex outer and has vents at the wrists and sides. It is meant to be worn against the skin but I wear mine with a thin Helly Hanson wicking vest. This kit was designed for Fell runners in the UK and is very warm, light, and can be popped in the washing machine with no extra precautions. I've had it for thirty years and it's s good as new.
