Anyone know of any good century rides at the end of this month. (10/28-10/29) I have some vacation time coming and would like to get one more long, warm ride in before winter sets in. I know that there is one in fl. "intracoastal waterway century" Anyone done this one? Any input would be appreciated.

I did the Intercoastal Waterway Century some years back. It is well supported and a good ride. My recollection of it is sort of hazy because I stuck with the fast group and they were moving along. It was pretty easy because the group was big and the draft was amazing. But I did not see much scenery.

Here are some in Arizona if you want to travel to the desert. October November is perfect riding in that area.

Spacecoast freewheelers on the 29th. It's still warm here.

A google on Florida (or Arizona) bicycle clubs will give you a list of same and check of their websites will turn up other centuries. IIRC the Tallahassee area club has a fall century, but don't know when.
Not quite as warm, the Smoky Mountain Wheelmen out of Knoxville have a late Oct century. A good bit hillier terrain than Florida however and temps could be in the 40s, or not.

My century and other long distance rides are usually solo - not for everyone but I set the schedule and plan the route.

It's called the Spaghetti 100 and we had it last week. It was a glorious day.
