Folding Bikes - Mobiky My16 and My12

At Interbike, Mobiky seemed to be showing two different models: the My16 and the My12.

The My12 may be nothing more than the original 12" model, but the My16 would seem to be new. However, when you visit MobikyUSA.com (http://www.mobikyusa.com/), there is no mention of anything but the original 12" bike. Googling for "mobiky my16" produces nothing. Does anyone have any information on new models?

Good to see what was written in A to B is correct. I think people were put off by the 12" wheels for longer commutes. Aprpos, it is heartening to see that Mobiky have broadened their range.

I guess the 16" model will be rolled-out soon.

I had a chance to ride the Mobiky 12" at Interbike. While I thought it was a cute gimmick; I didn't like it. They did have a 16" model too. I didn't get to ride it. I really think the Mobiky design is very appealing, but it's just too hard to ride. They had a few 12" designs the main difference was the gearing.

Love the way these bikes fold, but the ride put me off.

I have posted on the Mobiky thread, but I like the ride. I am 5'0" tall, female and have had problems with the Dahon Helios folder 20" which makes me feel stretched out and out of balance. I did a lot of research after that disappointing purchase. The Mobiky is perfect for me to ride short distances (few miles) on flat ground which is what I wanted it for. I agree that it would not be great for a long touring ride. For that, I bought a Downtube Mini. It would be nice if it were lighter, even though it was meant to roll in the folded position. You still have to lift it in and out of the car.

Did anyone notice if the components for the 16 size were any different?

Recently I saw a Mobiky at the mall (Sharper image (http://www.sharperimage.com/us/en/catalog/product/sku__MB400)). Hopefully it will make folding bikes more popular even if people don't like the small wheels.
