I found this old leather Brooks look-a-like at a barn sale Paid $5 for it.
Anyone seen one before?

It sure does look like they were trying to duplicate the style that IDEALE saddles used. Very interesting!

I believe that's because it IS an Ideale product. The T and B in the stamp stand for the parent company that made Ideale, can't recall those names right now, and don't know the details of this particular BIM saddle.

T & B are “Tron & Berthet S.A.”, makers of Ideale saddles. Looks like yours is a model 39, looking like the Ideale version of a Brooks B17, but still no clue what BIM means...yeah $5 is a major bargain for this.

Thanks for the info! It was dry like a triscuit when I found it. I soaked it in a gallon size ziplok full of vegetable oil for about a week to soften it up. now I just have to break it in!
