This morning I found 3 wheels in the trash
One had a Archer Sturmey SC Hub. date 69.
The other 2 were AS AW 76 and a generic steel Made in USA 3 speed.
Since I am planning a single speed conversion of my 87 Raleig Technium I am thinking of using the SC Hub with Coaster brake. Thought it would be different.
Does anyone know if this is a decent Hub. cannot find much info on this model.
Thanks

I have one of those on my english 3 speed, a 51 model though. While it is not mechanically effiecient as a fixed/ss, it is fun. go for it. just don't lace it to a deep-v

No way!
I have a '64 3-speed laced to an open pro, 4cross.
it's awesome, go for it.

It's Sturmey Archer, rather than the other way round.

three-speed roadbike are the tits. same spacing as track, so prolly the only good way of adding gears to your track bike.
