Someone in our local club has 105 derailleurs from 2002 for sale. He says they are in good condition. They were stripped off a Giant OCR1 2002. I dont probably need the front derailleur (this one is the bolt type, not the ring type) because I have a ultegra (FD-6530 Or 6830 dont remember exactly). Here is the bike they were taken off of:

How much should I pay for the rear DR? If he wants to sell them together, how much should I offer for both?

Thanks for your time.

What do you have for tradeing stock? I usually try to work out a barter deal for stuff like that because everybody usually goes home happier.

How badly do you really need a new rear derailleur? That's not a high replacement frequency part. Honestly, I'd say $15.00 or so would probably be a fair price but at some point haggling gets to be a bit pointless. If you don't feel like you can just walk away, expect to pay.

Well I am building my first road bike on a Cannondale 2.8 (1996) frame that I bought on ebay and I would like to buy quality used parts (105 or ultegra) at relatively cheap prices. Thats why I need the derailleur. It is not supposed to be a replacement.
