How do you get into facebook if you don't have an email addy from a school? OK, let me try and rephrase that... If you want to get onto facebook to snoop around and check up on college kids, how do you do it if you don't have an address that is associated with a school?

As far as I know, you can't. Facebook may have changed it recently.

You don't! Ahahahaha, sucks to be you! :p Ugh, I hope they keep facebook as private as possible.

It is a controversial subject.. but active groups are petitioning that facebook remove loopholes through requests for users outside of college/highschool to use facebook.
The group is called. I facebookd your Grandma Last Night.
It is worried about the privacy problems that arise when parents and grandparents can check in on the lives of their juniors in an uncensored environment.
There has also been a shift in law enforcement to attain those that post on facebook that they use illegal substances. Police get their name address and phone from this source and are able to verify if they do traffic.
So what you want to do is what is causing the most trouble potus. Very controversial.

Not exactly. I'll ask my wife but I'm pretty sure she still won't let me. Actually it is just interesting to watch these kids go off to college and turn into nymphos and alcoholics. On myspace they just advertise their whole world like nobody is gonna read it.
I'm from a small town and it's funny to watch these supposedly goody two shoes kids go off to college and go bad. Then they proceed to give the world a play by play of how stupid they are acting. Guess i find that sort of entertaining for some unknown reason.

 :roflmao: I'm in college, I use myspace and facebook, and that's got to be one of the stupidest things I've ever read!

Wow, you're weird! :p
God, I hope they keep facebook as private as possible. Luckily they have pretty good privacy options now to keep people like him ^ away!
Oh yeah, I'm an alcoholic nympho.

And you're also dumb enough to think that facebook is private.

Eh, doesn't matter anyway. People can only see what you choose to put on there. I couldn't care less if everybody in the world knows what kind of music I like, or what classes I'm taking, or can see pictures of me, or find out my credit card number...oh, wait...

That's my point, I'm amazed how many people are willing to make their whole lives public. MySpace has the option of keeping your profile private yet most just let it all hang out. Why?

because they are all better than you
I just made a facebook 2 days ago with my gmail acount.
Plus with facebook, you have to be someones friend to see their profile. Plus you have to join facebook to see anything. It's alot more private than myspace.
Yeah, I would say facebook is definitely more private than myspace. Only people from my university or people I added as friends are allowed to see my profile. And it's very easy to change it so only friends can see it and send messages to you, etc.
With both myspace and facebook, I don't put anything on my profile that I wouldn't be comfortable with the whole world knowing.

Guess i find that sort of entertaining for some unknown reason.Facebook isn't that much different than myspace really, same kind of stuff, blogs, diaries and party-invites. There's always going to be a certain percentage of kids that turn into nymphos & alcoholics. That's a stage everyone has to learn at some point in their lives. Hopefully they've learned how to manage growing up, learning about sex, drugs and alcohol while still living at home and have the guidance of their parents. The ones that go crazy and get into trouble, I blame on the parents, because these kids typically have been ignored by indifferent parents, not given sufficient time and attention in dealing with adolescent issues.
There's one famous case here at UCSB where a girl gets deeply into the party scene and goes wild with the sex and alcohol. She ends up failing her classes and gets kicked out of school. So her father then tries to sue the school, her roommates, landlord, etc. For what? Not teaching his kids about life? Where was he when she was growing up? During the hearings and investigations, it comes out that he was always away from home and spent little time with his kids. The most support they ever got from him in dealing with sex & drugs was a terse, "Don't do it!"... OK, that's really helpful to teenagers facing wild ravaging hormones coursing through their bodies!
Anyway the really sad part of facebook and myspace are the sites of kids that have died.. their friends still visit... :(

Not anymore. Since they let any joe blow join facebook, it's no longer the elite group it once was. Now it's just going to turn into myspace.
