Sorry, I messed up the coding when trying to fix another problem, you shouldn't have this issue anymore.

If you use the old fashioned "post reply" button to reply to a post, you should get an option below the reply text box that says:
"Email Notification: emails sent to you whenever someone replies. Only registered users are eligible. "
Tick this box and you can subscribe to all the replies in that thread. Or so I understand.
