I assume you have done your homework when it comes to the test. I know it used to be that on the multiple choice answers as long as you were sure one was wrong it was better to guess than leave it blank.

For me time was no problem, if you are not my type then make sure you at least get through readding each question. When I took it years ago many did not finish. For at least some I'm sure that was really stupid. Don't spend time struggling on a question you have trouble with until you have answered all the ones that know.

Done my homework? I know enough about what it will be like I guess. I did buy this study guide for it, "The official guide". I've flipped through it a few times, going to take a closer look tonight.

Oh, questionl;

Are you expected to memorize formula's for calculating the area and volume of geometric shapes?

Got me. But it would be smart to be able to figure them out.

Also remember on math (or related) questions that are multiple choice you can often eliminate several shoices pretty easily and then instead of trying to actually find the answer simply check their answer. (E.g. the substituting back in you do to check an algebra word problem).

Good luck, go to bed early and relax.

I retook the SATs this April, as I needed them to pass out of basic level (non-credit) courses I'm taking at night. If I recall, and the study book hasn't lied to me - you're given the formulas for geometric shapes.

I just finished, was at the school for about 5 hours.

Overall, I think I did well. I am very confident the writing part is good. The reading parts, a mixed bag.

Interpreting a story is no problem, I got most of those right I think. Sentence correction, for the most part, was alright. There were some where I really thought two answers were fine. Both are correct w/ word choice and grammar, I was tempted to leave those blank but ended up going with the one that sounded better. I just wonder if the test maker thinks the other sounds better, but both are perfectly acceptable.

and the grammar parts, pack it up.

Good luck.

I think they give you most formulas you need, but I recommend memorizing the common ones (off the top of my head: area of a circle, volume of a sphere, volume of a cylinder, area of a trapezoid). At the very least, it'll save you a little time figuring things out in your head.

Double check the study guide. It should say if you do need to memorize them.

*EDIT* Just saw you already took it. Hope the scores come back good.
