Mountain Biking - anybody got a ride report on the Tomac Revolver?

That's a sweet looking bike, looks like a good compromise for a beefy XC ride. I read an article on it awhile back but I'm looking for a good owner report. My play money funds are about exhausted for this year but maybe next year?

Don't hate me for saying this, b/c I know you just bought a Bullit, but I'm not a big fan of single pivot bikes. Limited maintenence is nice, but I like a fully active 4-bar linkage design.

True, there are disadvantages. I have already felt my ankle snap a couple times on the Bullit when hitting a sharp bump and climbing in the little ring. But simplicity is nice. And ohhh baby that Ti is sexy!

I've ridden or owned everything from HT's to this Bullit with 7" of travel and I have come to the conclusion that the best XC ride (for me) would be as simple as possible, and have 4.5 - 5" of travel on both ends. And it needs to weigh 28 lb's or less, otherwise give me full-on DH with 7" plus of travel. I've ridden the Bullit enough now to find that it is not the best XC rig, and I still want to race. I think it would be possible to build this thing down to 32 lb's or so, but why? It wants to hit big bumps and fall off things!

I'm looking into next year mostly. This one caught my eye and I want to know more about it... Thanks, I always want honest opinions.

My friend bought one not to long ago. To lazy to dial in the spv:) half sag:).He loves it even though it's the 75mm version and has ridden it on quite a few trails. Kinda want to try it myself. Will do so if he will let me take it out of his sight!
