I am looking for any of the following Pre-1995 bicycle helmets. i will pay between one hundred and two hundred dollars for each of any of the followinging:
a pre-1995 MSR
a pre-1995 Bell Avalanche or Memphis (only with pigtails - Not pump)
a pre-1995 Avenir VSR
i am located in los angeles CA but will arrange whatever shipping is necessary
time is of the essence,

I might have one of these guys...I bought it in 88 or 89 but I'm not sure if it's a VSR. It's white with a red/black cover that stretches over the helmet.

So...you're asking for these helmets for free?

Pig tail...? If you're talking about a cut out for a pony tail, the answer is no. Otherwise I'll closely examine the helmet this evening.

I think I have an Avalanche at my parents house. Any interest in an Image Pro from the same year? I'll try to get pics soon. I was actually trying to decide if I could donate them to the local velodrome since they're too small for me. Anyway, I'll email pics of their retention system asap.

yeah do take a look. basically we're interested in the retension system at the back. some helmets had various adjustments ('pigtails' or adjustable webbing, or dials) to control the fitting of the helmet. we're interested in pretty much any helmet pre-1995 with these type of retension systems. so if you have one, we'll buy it. if you're not sure just email pics and i'll be able to tell you

I have a Bell V-1 PRO in the original box. The foam pads are slightly manky, but I'll post some pics if you're interested…

thanks for responding. we actually already have that Bell. But if you or anyone you know has helmets 1995 and older with an adjustable retension system (pigtail, dial etc) in the back, at the base of the head, then get in touch with me: examples are some ettos, vettas, bell avalance, bell memphis, the old msr, avenir vsr and others. those are specifically what we're interested in.
