Interesting article from"Outside Online" featuring a cycle racer whose career had become stalled until he discovered a whole foods diet : http://outsideonline.com/outside/bodywork/200303/200303_bodywork_1.html

This is good stuff. Not really a groudbreaking revelation, but a nice reminder to us all.

BTW: I know Myerson. I've raced him a bunch up here in NE, and last season he and his Cycle Smart company coached myself and the other juniors on my team. Alas, I am no longer with that team however. Adam is a good guy though.

Summery:

- Try not to eat more "pre-processed" foods than is necessary.
- Eat twice as many fruits and vegetables as you think is neccessary.

I read another article by Myerson and I think he's actually a vegan - he doesn't eat any meat or dairy products at all.

I started avoiding as many processed foods as possible about a year ago - I just cook up big vats of chili and soups and other food on the weekend so I'm not cooking all the time - and I actually have been feeling much better since.
