Planning to ride down to Laguna, back up to Newport Coast, around the Back Bay and back to HB.

I'm planning on putting in some miles tomorrow, but not at 7 a.m. Sometime before noon I'll be taking Coyote Creek down to the San Gabriel River and then heading north for 20 miles or so. If anyone sees me out tomorrow on my ugly green machine, say hi!
Enjoy your early morning ride.

When are we gonna get a ride report from Paul anyway?
For what ride? Today?
Yeah today will work, or tomorrow.
 Well, he rode today, I ride tomorrow. I'll let him know you're waiting for a report. :D
I'm going on SART tomorrow probably (if the window guy doesn't come)
Now I will be riding my champagne (gold) Puch and my dad will be riding his gray fixie.
I would love to go, but we'll be at the Long Beach Marathon :)
Next time for sure!!
I know where Magnolia is but not the other...
Damn beaches!
Like devilinblack says, I'll be on the SART sometime tomorrow but NOT at 7:00!

One light north of PCH.
Oh you guys are wimps. It's nice riding early in the morn'. ;)

Good deal! I always ride early as well, and it would be great to have some company

Cool! I asked in the other thread, but how'd your wife's first ride go?

She replied, and is loving her new Trek :D
But it's better to sleep.
Agreed. I'm up at 5 a.m. five days a week, I'm sleeping in as late as the sun and the neighbors allow on the weekends. At least until snowboarding season gets here, I'll get out of bed early for that.

Yaaaayyyyyyy!!! :D

It was beautiful this morning. You even got to miss some roadie guys laughing at me when I almost fell at PCH and Superior. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v372/BrandyMama/points.gif

A bit rusty clicking out of the pedals, are we? :)

I had no trouble unclipping, but I went to put my foot on the curb instead of the ground and that's when I almost bit it. I wobbled for a second, but I managed to stay upright. :o

Yeah they were a little cocky, weren't they?
Very nice weather for riding this morning!
Oh and I LOVE MY BIKE!!!!!!! :D
Cool and not too windy on the San Gabriel River trail this afternoon. 50.25 miles in 3:06. Not bad for a fat guy on a mountain bike that's only been riding for two months after a 15 year hiatus. I'll be glad when the road bike shows up though.

That's okay. I'll fess up mine recent incidednt. A couple weeks back we were riding north through Del Mar, and I roll up to a stop sign on PCH planning to do a "pause and go" without unclipping. But as I came to a near stop, a car sitting at the stop coming the opposite direction decided to turn left in front of us without signalling. As I rushed to unclip, I also noticed the motorcycle cop hiding on the side street waiting to nail anyone that rolled through. It was dicey, but I managed to not fall over, but it did ellicit a few chuckles from the people I was riding with.
I really need to work on my track stands - or get new pedals (my old SPD-style road pedals are a pain in the a**!).

When do you get your road bike Stephen? It was a nice day for a ride... :)
I wanted to ride today. :(
Instead, I was buying fish and crabs at Newport Beach.

It's fine. Just a little itchy.

The seller said he took it to his LBS for packaging on Thursday. I'd like to think that I'll have it by the end of the week, but knowing my luck with UPS it'll be the end of the month  . I ordered some road shoes and pedals from Nashbar but I still need to find a computer, spare tubes and probably tires since I'm not sure of the condition of the ones on the bike.
