Alex Zülle had some negotiations with Coast and want´s to quit his treaty to be free for another team.
I guess the next one will be Ullrich, it wouldn´t amaze.

Well, who would take Zulle. Not to say nothing bad as I got to knw the guy way back when in amateurs in Spain, and he is truly a great guy and a great rider, but now days his record is not like before and with money very tight and limited teams it may be very hard. But again he may be able to bring light to a team like Relax or Caffe Baque and these smaller squads.

Phonak wants him because they feel that he would help them get a ride in the Tour de France. He did win the Tour of Switzerland last year.

lets see what deal Rominger can work up :D

Zulle is a pretty cool rider...seems pretty damn accident prone...but so strong when he's in form...

anyone remember him climbing on the wheel of Indurain to Les Arc in the 96 Tour when his shorts were ripped to shreds? rough day...

yes, that was hard.
But I think his time is over now, maybe one or two years to go. He should take what he could get. Phonak wouldn´t be bad, they are also interested in Ullrich.

It turns out Zuelle signed with Phonak. I like him too- the guy is practically blind and yet such a tough f***! I remember him winning that stage in the Tour of Romandie last year in the snow, an uphill sprint to the finish.

He's retiring this year and I guess he actually wants to get PAID For the last year of his career. Phonak is a good team, with guys like Camenzind and other good climbers, for sure they'll in the the Tour of Switzerland, and maybe this will get them into the tour. I'd love to see Zuelle in the tour once again.
