Hello all,
I would like to know about backpack options for a folding bike (that I don't have yet - still leaning towards a NWT). I don't want to do any major modifications. Are there any backpacks made specifically for carrying folding bikes? I do not want a shoulder bag.
Thanks
There are a few backpacks specificly designed for folders. Check this link (http://www.bikeforums.net/showthread.php?t=234875)

I didn't see any backpacks specifically designed for folders on that link...I might be missing something. The birdie rucksack doesn't look like its a backpack ("The bag can then be carried either by a carry handle or shoulder strap.") The Kelty external-frame backpacks look the same as other external-frame packs, I dont understand what makes them specifically for folders (if they are).
Sorry Guruhan, I was in a hurry and only left the link. The Birdy Rucksack has a double shoulder strap, making it a pack that you can carry on your back (like a back_pack). So far, that and some older Dahon carrying bags are what I found. I addressed the subject over bromptontalk yahoogroups and they pointed me towards these two as well... I would love to have a backpack that 1)would fit my folder and 2) leave some extra pockets for a 2 day trip or so.
Let me know if you find them, you are not alone on your search.
