what is everyone's opinion on a Poverty G-Ride?

Ok, I have never seen one in person but I just looked at the specs on their web site.
it looks good and the price is very low. this makes me believe that the steel, although 4130 chromo is not of the best quality.
the other thing that makes me believe this is the frame weighs close to 8 pounds. that is if Dans is not being mis-leading about the weight.
it's rather on the long side too.
I would spend my money on the dragonfly tech if they still have that frame. it's been marked down almost 100 bucks. it's on sale now for $139.00
I know Dans purchased almost ALL of these frames from dragonfly so they could offer a great deal on them in the US. (dragonfly is from the UK, or over seas somewhere)
what type of riding will you be doing and how tall are you? if your on the shorter side you don't really want to be riding around on a long, heavy bike.
if your on the shorter side, the dragonfly tech comes in two sizes. get the shorter one.
i'm guessing your looking at that frame because of cost?

one of the guys i used to ride with for a short time had one. he enjoyed it. for the price and all i think its a win win deal.

In some cases I would definatly agree with you, but sometimes there are exceptions. I bought a Brand New Ares Ashura. (You know how much those cost when they came out, and still, $$$$$) Well after about a month I broke almost all the headset bearings, and bent the rear axle. the cranks started to turn to hell too.....soooo, in the the mean time I wanted a bike I could just practice on and beat the hell out of basically to begin to learn new tricks, so I bought a Titus Flatliner ($300 US for the complete bike!) Cheap right?, well I hate to say that Ive been riding it hard for over a year now and I havnt even bent a rim, and Ive been beating it pretty hard, well as hard as you CAN beat a bike riding flatland. I know its not the most abusive form of riding. But my story sticks, I bought an expensive bike and it ended up being a waste, I bought something I thought I would destroy, and its still running strong. I have now sold the Ares and upgraded most of the components on the Flatliner. THE END :D
