General Cycling Discussion - Topeak Joe Blow Pump rocks!!

You probably already knew this. But this pump is awesome and so much better than the POS pump I have been using for the past six months that cost me the same price. Pumps to 120 psi with almost no effort. The head is easy to engage and disengage. The gauge is easy to read and steady. The whole thing is very stable as well.

I also got a Topeak mountain morph frame pump which looks to be very high quality. The only problem I have is finding a place to put it on my midget frame. It only fits on the top of the top tube. Under the top tube and it hits my bottle cages. Under the down tube and it hits my wheel. Just reason 642 why it sucks to be short.

I just cut myself pulling it off a bent stem. Not the pumps' fault, completely mine. I like it. It feels quite solid.

^^^ done that... now i position the valve at "12:00" so i can use gravity to my advantage when removing the nozzle.

I just picked one up a week ago . . . Lovin' it so far!!!

I just got the Pro last week as well - when I tried it, there was a small leak from around the gauge. I tried tightening things as suggested on their support website, but no luck. I emailed them, and they sent me a new gauge immediately, no questions asked!!

And now I'm very happy with it =)

I have the Joe Blow sport and the Road Morph (with gauge). Excellent pumps at the price even if the Road Morph cost more than the floor pump. :lol: The Road Morph has already saved me on two separate occasions when i got a flat. It's always nice when patching a tube takes longer than pumping it up. :D

I just got a Joe Blow Sport, very sturdy pump, my first pump with a pressure gauge,
previously I have never checked the exact pressure on my tires, I usually just pump until I do a little thumb press test which I determined from the comfort/hardness of the ride.

It appears that I have been running at around 60psi all the time, I put the tires up to 100psi but this is serious pressure now, I really think that I am going to find it harsh to ride tomorrow, do most people ride their 23's and 25's at these kinds of pressure ?

I have 23s and ride them at 120 psi. 100 psi is just fine. Once you ride at 100 psi, you will realize that you were riding through molasses at 60 psi.

Well you guys talked me into it. I just ordered a Joe Blow Pro. I'll give my son the 20 year old floor pump that I was using.
