Just got back from my class, I was lucky I decided to ride to class, came back to find door to my room kicked in.

Amonst the damaged and missing:

Posters were destroyed, including 2 posters that were autograohed, 1 by Brian Lopes, the other by Dustin Adams.
Dvd player smashed. TV is gone, on the walls someone wrote ecco killer, chain lubes are all spilled on the floor, one of them being a full container of Prolink. My trumpet is gone, my videos destroyed, mattress shredded.

To make matters worse I got dumped by my GF.

Hmmm, me wonders if the 2 events are somehow connected...

Sorry to hear of your bad day...

Perhaps you should go for a nice L O N G bike ride.

Environment. Killer is self explained.

So are you the "ecco killer" or are they???

My first reaction was to start calling the !@#$@$ who did this you you all the *&#T^ bad names I know. I don't know if me saying "I'm sorry this happened to you" really says what I really mean. If I was closer, I'd let you come over to my place and hangout while we figured out how to get things fixed up for you, but I live in SC. I hope the cops get the lemmings and you get some sort of restitution.(sp?).

This sounds like pure vandalism, only the TV stolen? Why smash the DVD? Why leave it and not steal it?

Sounds like an "insidejob":(

No neighbour hear anything?

Definately start researching with people you know. That is awful. I hope you called the cops to get record of it (I doubt they can do much else).

I got a witness, the neighbor approached me and said that he heard the sound of a door being broken.

Strange the vandalists stayed long enough to smash things up. Wasen´t there any risk for them to be caught in the act, so to say?

And the noice they must have made...

I got fired from an 18+ year job in 1996--'took a long, long bicycle ride to rid me of the feelings I had. At one point, I got onto some gravel and ended up in the ditch. It wasn't a bad fall, but when I went over I did cut my shin a bit. I ended the ride at home, and felt a lot better. My ego was bruised, as was my knee, but even though I was bruised and bleeding both inside and out, I was still alive and very much kicking. It took me two years to find another job, but find one I did.

Danka, I hope that you can take heart from this story, and know that you're still around, still healthy, and will ultimately prevail.

Good Luck,

John

Sorry to hear about your misfortune. Makes you wonder what motivates some people to trash things belonging to someone else. Hope you are able to track down the guilty party and at least get legal justice. (Here's to hoping it isn't the ex-girlfriend!)

Sorry to hear the bad news. Maybe it's a good thing you weren't there. You could have been hurt too.

I hope the police get some clues and find the SOBs.
Do you have insurance?

If you see your ex and she acts kinda strange you'll know she had something to do with it. :crash:

If it makes you feel any better, i'm probably twice your age and would be glad to trade places with you. :D

Danka, that sucks, but I think you might consider your ex gf- if you broke up on bad terms. After all, why you? Is there anyone else mad at you? or maybe she got a friend to do it for revenge. I'm not trying to be negative, but I would be thinking like a cop if you want to find out who did it. That really is a bad scene. I hope you at least still have your bike!

Or alternatively, you could actually call the cops and get them to deal with it. If you do anything to your ex GF (even if she was responsible) you will only make matters worse. Having said that, I'm sorry to hear what happened. They say these things happen in threes don't they? That's two.

Find out who did it
Call up some of your friends
Payback is a b*tch :D

Or, you can take it the smart way and call the authorities and let them deal with it.

Choice is up to you...sorry to hear about your situation

UPDATE: THE PERP IS IN CUSTODY!

LBS Owner Caught the perp red handed.
While getting back from the shop he caught a person trying to break in to his place, the perp was arrested, with the details my neighbor gave guess who matched up with the description, the perp.

That's GREAT MAN! Any chance on getting your TV back? Perhaps restitution?

Maybe Joe should make a "Crime Does Not Pay" Section? as we seem to be getting a bunch of these stories n

Yeah baby yeah!!!! Justice is served!!

I guess the perp must be the ecco killer, not you, so he is trying to vandalise everything that isn't bad for the environment... That's why he seems to be targeting bike riders??? Who knows..What a dingleberrybutt.

WTG danka, I guess it wasn't your GF after all. Hopefully you can get some of your stuff back, take the jerk to court and demand payment for damages. My guess is that he will probably go in front of a Judge and will take a plea and part of the sentence will be to pay you back. That's usually how those things go. I doubt he'll get jail time, it's probably some stupid punk kid.

Definitely sounds like some one that you know. does ecco killer mean he doesn't like your bike? Could it be related to your GF? Talk to the neighbor that heard the door. Humm why didn't he stop them/him or take pictures and call the cops?

Good luck don't be upset, just get even.

Joe
