Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Howdy,
Anybody know anything about curtlo bikes? I am interested in his new 29er dual suspension bike which is steel front and ventana rear triangle. I am seven feet and 265, so durability has to be at the top of the list...it would have to be all-mountain at least.

Wow,
you're a challenge for a builder. I have Doug building me an XC bike currently. So far, dealing with him has been excellent. My advice; listen to his advice. He's been building frames a long time; He'll come up with a frame that will work for you. He'll know wht type of tubing to use, as well as geometry.
I have one of his road frames done up flat-bar style and I love it.
FWIW, I've been riding a long time (!) and I've had some nice bikes. Doug's work ranks right up there with the best, and his attitude is even better.
Good choice!
