That is a dope idea. If I lived in NYC, I would be taking advantage of that all the time, unless they are $8 cookies.

Clearly you DON'T live in NYC. $8 cookies are commonplace in Manhattan. :p
They are the best cookies in the world though. I think they bought their recipe from Neiman Marcus for $3000 ;)

make those), but for $1 (regularly $2), you
could do worse. Both times I went in here,
the girl at the counter was really snarky,
despite my salt-of-the-earth Midwestern

Or maybe she just doesn't like salty, earthy midwesterners. Maybe SOME people find that charming, but a shower wouldn't hurt now and again ;)
