Hello All,

I went mountain biking at Bass creek and loved it. I looked for the thread on how to bunny hop I looked silly pushing my bike over obstacales (sp) and couldn't find the thread it must be my mental issues. Are you considered a puss if you portage your bike over mud puddles my entire front wheel sank down in a puddle.I had to spend an hour to clean the bike

We all walk or portage our bikes at times, At least you were out there doing it! PS. Leave some mud on the bike or it will be unhappy.

Well, I can guarantee you I looked sillier when I hit the silt in a stream at full speed, the shock and tire sank into the silt and I took flying lessons over the bars. My neck still hurts one month later.
No, I've never heard another MTBer make any wise cracks about someone carrying their bike over an obstacle, except when teasing a freind. IMHO, we all know each of us has different limits and those limits are respected.
EDIT: I like to leave mud on my bike, it's sort of an honor symbol. But I always make sure my cable guides are free of debris. I learned that one the hard way after I experienced chain suck three times on one ride due to a jammed cable.

I don't think that full suspenion bike looks silly I just say for the trail I am riding it looks silly and with the headshok on it IMHO with a head shok and rear suspension it seems they cancel each other out
