Is not turning out as such.

My friend is looking for black anodized 36h hubs. Surly no longer makes a black 36 hole. All the LBS in town say, none exist. I call BS, but then now searching online, I can't find any!

Trying to keep it away from custom (ala Phils) and kinda budgetish. Places to order from needed asap. Also, high flange would be optimal.

There's also the Suzue Pro Max. Is the loose ball one the only NJS certified one, or is the sealed bearing one also certified?

They're not the best by any means, but they're good for budget hubs. I think my fuji wheels have them.

Do Formulas come in 36h?

Just get some silver 36h hubs anodized yourself. Anodizing is cheap.

EDIT: I missed the link to those black 36h hubs from Bikeman. There's the ticket. Those Dimension/Nashbar hubs are solid.

I have 36h formula hubs. They are pretty decent and have survived 3 rim destroying crashes.

Yo, formula hubs are amazing. As are those dimension hubs(which milwaukee bike obviously buys then stamps their name on).

Formula and dimension hubs are rad, you can ride them through the winter everyday, and the bearings are real cheap and easy to replace, you can even get phil bearings to fit. They're quality, especially if you know how to ride.

I've had one formula for 3 years already, replaced the bearings 6 times, relaced it 3 times, and it's still working perfectly, and it's even now riding on a left side drive bike.

It bums me out when people talk down on formula hubs.
